When
the sun comes from behind the leaves at Burns Creek, the colors are intensely
rich, bright, and beautiful. If you stand in the shade of the tree trunk, you
can look at the leaves without the sun in your eyes. Can you feel the
excitement of the stream as it enters from the left? Does the quiet, calm of
the stream as it pools in the center bring you peace? Do you long to follow as
it exits to the right over a little waterfall, turns the corner, and flows on
down the valley? I was pleased that I was able to preserve all the feelings I
savored and the panoramic view I experienced while enjoying this back lit scene.
You are welcome to linger here with the butterfly at
Burns Creek
This was the first painting I was able to get "painted" as a Giclee on Canvas with the colors he wanted. There us an orange and black butterfly on the rocks and a big symbolic one in the water with a silver wing and a crimson wing. The big tree in the middle of the painting reflects in the water making the center of the butterfly.
